We are now recruiting for the following position:
Telecom Transport Systems EngineerNetwork Operations Center
Design and maintain a regional Next Generation SONET, DWDM and MPLS Ethernet transport system as well as maintain Enterprise routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor the system and all customer services from the Network Operation Center, analyze events, and resolve all issues in a timely manner. Create procedures, design modified service routes, send customer notices and supervise remote system modifications. Test and configure access equipment, DS1, DS3, optical or Ethernet services prior to customer release. Coordinate performance tests by field engineers and technicians. Initiate and track service requests.
This position will work a weekday rotation schedule of 10-hour day and evening shifts. Experience in designing, managing, and provisioning telecommunications networks is required. Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Management or related field is required (EE, IS, or MIS with a minor in Telecommunications). Directly related experience may potentially be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
