The University of Tulsa seeks an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for evaluating and recruiting elite Division I tennis players nationally and internationally; design training program for student athletes, including racquet skills and fitness, and assist in the development of student strength and conditioning program using different types of metabolic system approaches (such as anaerobic, aerobic and phosphagen systems). Coordinate and manage on-court practices and matches; analyze and interpret match statistics for tactical advice for players during and after matches; coordinate team travel for competitive events. Assist Head Coach in managing the team operating budget of $152,000, and with marketing, promotion, and fundraising for the team. Requires Bachelor's in Sports or Exercise Science, or Education; and twenty-four (24) months in tennis coaching. Travel is less than 10% of the time to assist with recruitment. Knowledge of and commitment to the rules and
regulations of the AAC and NCAA. Understanding of the Universal Tennis Rating system and the Association of Tennis Professional Rankings. Experience playing tennis at the Division I collegiate level.
