The current work schedule for this position is August - May of the school year, working 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Prepare quality, safe, appetizing foods for students, staff and visitors.
1.Prepare food in a manner that maintains standards of sanitation and safety in compliance with all health guidelines. Food preparation includes main dishes, salads and baked goods.
2.Prepare menu items using established departmental policies and procedures.
3.Serve food to customers during designated food serving times in a friendly, courteous and responsive manner.
4.Clean-up food preparation, service and serving areas to maintain a healthy and attractive environment.
5.Set up food serving counters in an appealing manner.
6.Assemble, operate, disassemble and clean food service equipment in accordance with operating procedures and safety process requirements.
7.Properly check and store appropriately incoming food and kitchen supplies.
8.Operate cash register in food service area as required.
9.Maintain required departmental records regarding groceries needed, adjustments to recipes, and proper accounting for food quantities and food service supplies utilized.
10.Transport food and set-up satellite food service to various Tulsa Tech campuses/locations for catering events.
Position Requirements ?A minimum of one year of experience in school food service, cafeteria or other food service establishment.
?Must have or be willing to obtain Tulsa City County Food Handlers permit
?Knowledge of food preparation. (ex. main dishes, salads and baked goods)
?Knowledge of food preparation safety and health standards and procedures.
?Basic computer skills.
?Basic math skills.
Education High school diploma or equivalent required
Salary Schedule Support Staff
Hiring Range $10.60 - $13.00 per hour, (10 month position, August -May), plus $550 additional compensation monthly for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage.
Benefits Employee Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Sick Leave, Personal Leave, Pension Plan, 457 Savings Plan and normally 22 paid holidays.
