Big Elk Energy Systems has immediate openings for the following positions.
Nights and Weekends
Must have at least 4 years industrial coatings experience using paint guns and conventional paint pots. Must be able to use a wet mil gauge and able to spray a wide variety of industrial coatings (including zinc, epoxy and urethanes). Must have solid understanding of mixing ratios for paint systems. Experience with below ground coatings is a plus!
Nights and Weekends
Must have at least 4 years industrial coatings blasting experience and able to handle 120 PSI and work in heat with A/C suit.
Pipe Welders & Fitters:
Must pass a 6G weld test (visual, x-ray and destructive testing). MIG root with 8018 fill and cap uphill on 12" x .500 pipe. Must have at least 4 years of experience stick welding and have passed a 6G test previously. Candidates must also pass branch test prior to beginning employment.
Structural Welders & Fitters (weekends):
Must pass 3G buttweld test (visual and x-ray) on 1" plate.
Subarc Welders (weekends)
Test weld subject to visual, xray and destructive testing. Test on 20" x .500 pipe, mig stringer with subarc hot pass then fill and cap.
Candidates must have experience with the following:
High pressure hydrotesting (2000+psig), hydrotest with deadweights and chart recorders, automatic and manual torque equipment (like Hy-Torq or Torq-up brands), able to read and interpret blueprints / drawings / bills of material, must have general knowledge of piping, fittings, flanges, valves, air tools (impact wrenches, etc.), driving industrial forklifts 5,000 lbs. and above, proper rigging techniques, overhead cranes rated for 5-10 ton capacities or more, meter tube and large flange assembly, assembled threaded piping, pipe threading tools and adjustable jack stands and assembled pipe spools in stands.
