Aerospace Instructional Advisement Coordinator
Aerospace Instructional Advisement Coordinator provides and supports aerospace learning experiences through various activities to optimize instructional delivery provided to aerospace academy students. Assists in the instruction and training of students in job readiness skills that are required for a successful transition into the workplace.
1.Provide and support aerospace learning experiences through activities such as blended learning assignments, tutoring, remediation, small group lessons in an effort to optimize the instructional delivery provided to aerospace academy students.
2.Assist the instruction and training of students in job readiness skills that are required for making a successful transition into the workplace, including: interviewing skills, customer service, listening, interpersonal communication skills.
3.Support the overall campus outreach and networking for the aerospace industry by developing professional skills for students, building and aligning connections with industry partners, and establishing work-based experiences (WBE) at various levels of their training.
4.Participate with industry advisory committees to promote interaction among students and practitioners, assure the program curriculum remains a current reflection of job market skill requirements, and ultimately facilitate job placement of students.
5.Facilitate guest speakers and related industry tours.
6.Provide career advisement and counseling by helping students plan early career steps.
7.Plan and organize instructional materials/supply inventories/tools/equipment, update lesson plans and instruct students in competency-based developmental program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to subject matter (i.e., classroom, self-paced, Blackboard interactive website , lab, clinicals, etc.) to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
8.Evaluate students on a recurrent basis to provide timely indications
9.Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by District policy and certification agencies. Process, maintain and/or monitor paperwork required for District operations (inventory purchasing, follow-up data, etc.).
10.Participate in projects/assignments in support of the campus or program, as assigned, which might include activities such as: assistance with CTSO activities/competition, attendance at school events, performing monitoring duty in assigned area, etc.
11.Participate in professional development and learning experiences designed to improve instructional methodologies and learning strategies as well as industry-specific topics. These development activities will be developed through attendance/participation at conferences, professional development training, professional associations, periodic industry internships and industry related events.
12.Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervisor and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
13.Exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions regarding the provision of services to internal and external customers and in day-to-day operations of the department. Interpret and implement policies in a manner consistent with the interests of the District. Provide advice and consultation to executive management as requested. Investigate and resolve issues, as needed, represent the department and District in a professional manner to all.
Position Requirements ?5 or more years' experience working in the Aerospace Industry with extensive Industry connections.
?Bachelors degree or, High School Diploma with equivalent experience working in the Aerospace Industry.
?Oklahoma State Department of Education Secondary Standard Teaching Certification is preferred
?Current Oklahoma driver's license is required

Salary Schedule SPMS
Hiring Range Dependent on experience and education, plus additional $6,600 annual compensation for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage.
